Property damage restoration specialists Munters has introduced an IT system that it said will enable the company to handle an increased amount of business and provide customers with a faster service.
The company has adopted the software after successful trials in East Anglia, the Midlands and the South West.
The I-CAN (Instant Claim Activity Network) would provide real-time reports to insurers and loss adjusters.
Munters said it had seen the benefit of the new system when dealing with recent flooding in Sidcup, Kent.
Following the implementation of the new system, once a flood technician has completed a report on site, the customer can read the report online, as well as having the option of automatic progress updates by email of by text message.
Munters and software specialist Simplicity UK developed the I-CAB system jointly.
