The Lloyd's Names Association wants Lloyd's to show the cost of the WTC Tragedy by syndicate, gross and net, before and after internal reinsurances.

The Lloyd's Names Association (LNA) has repeated its request for Lloyd's to make full disclosure of its World Trade Centre (WTC) liabilities.

LNA chairman Christopher Stockwell said the association wanted Lloyd's to show the cost of the WTC Tragedy by syndicate, gross and net, before and after internal reinsurances.

He said: "It is absurd to suggest that the information we seek is not wanted by Names and would not influence their decisions. It is fundamental to the decision-making about passing more capital to Lloyd's control.

"Lloyd's has allowed the members of the Lloyd's Market Association to see the full picture and they are voting with their feet. The full or partial withdrawals of so many corporate capital Members will leave liabilities on the Central Fund and erode the market's competitiveness.

"Names have a right to the same information and to the same timetables. If the numbers will not withstand scrutiny, Lloyd's should not be seeking capital and premiums."
