Argent Insurance Group, part of Cox Insurance, is rebranding its chain of high street shops to insure-shop.
The group is undertaking a substantial investment and refurbishment programme amid an acquisition spree.
Its latest acquisition is the commercial and personal lines books of business of John Dale Insurance for an undisclosed sum.
John Dale Insurance, established for more than ten years, is based in Newark, where Argent Insurance already has a branch.
Following the acquisition, the business of John Dale Insurance will be immediately transferred to Argent's Newark branch.
The founder, John Dale, is taking semi-retirement but will remain part-time with Argent Insurance Group for the next few months to facilitate the transfer.
