KPMG's international regulatory services director, Marcus Killick, has been appointed as Gibraltar's financial services commissioner.

KPMG's international regulatory services' director Marcus Killick, has been appointed as Gibraltar's financial services commissioner.

Killick is set to take over from the current Commissioner, Martin Fuggle, at the beginning of April.

Killick was previously head of banking supervision at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. He has also held several positions with regulators across other jurisdictions in Europe.

Gibraltar's minister for trade, Keith Azopardi said: "We are confident that Mr Killick will provide the leadership necessary to ensure that Gibraltar's financial services sector continues to be properly regulated in accordance with the financial services policy set by the Government."
