Liberty International Underwriters has appointed Richard Mason to lead its professional indemnity (PI) drive in the South West of England.

Mason has been appointed as senior regional PI underwriter. He was previously senior technical underwriter – professional and financial risks at Royal and SunAlliance.

Bristol is Liberty International Underwriters' third office in the UK after its London HQ and its Manchester office which it opened last year.

Sean Rocks, chief executive of Liberty International Underwriters in the UK said: “Following the success we've had with our Manchester office, we've been developing Bristol as a key location as it opens up the South West of England and provides us with a base for the Midlands and Wales.

“We are now able to offer general liability, employers' liability, professional indemnity, and directors' and officers' liability products from our Bristol office.

He added: “The move is part of our planned expansion in the UK, which will see Liberty building a strong regional presence in order to provide the best possible service to our brokers.”
