Insurance brokers Jarretts have signed a long-term deal with vehicle identification specialists Police5 to create a new insurance product for car buyers.
Police5's 'Vehicle Validation and Identification Inspection' ensures that a vehicle is not stolen, that it has not been "cut & shut", that there are no outstanding debts or financial problems and that it has adaquate security systems. A unique radio frequency identification (RFID) tag is also fitted to the vehicle.
As part of the inspection and validation, car buyers receive a specific legal expenses insurance package from Jarretts. The package includes legal fees and stolen vehicle investigation costs.
