This week Berkeley Alexander launched FreeSafe, a new Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance (MPPI).
Berkeley Alexander says the insurance provides some free cover incentives to policyholders and brokers, as well as "reduced premiums and clear, concise documentation".
Benefits for consumers include six months' free cover for new mortage borrowers and three months for existing borrowers, competitive premiums, and no initial exclusion period.
Brokers can benefit from a 25% commission, comprehensive cover and a simple application procedure.
Managing partner Ted York commented: "This is clearly a win-win situation for both consumer and broker and fulfils the government's manifesto commitment of improving the sustainability of home ownership through better mortgage protection."
