Carlyle Insurance Brokers has changed its name to Hodge Insurance Brokers as part of a group-wide expansion and rebranding programme by its parent company Julian Hodge Bank.

George Wigley, managing director of Hodge Insurance Brokers, said: “Group investment in the expansion of our services will enable us to further build our regional presence through continued development of niche market expertise within the insurance industry.”

Hodge Insurance Brokers will move with the rest of the group of companies to new headquarters currently under construction on the outskirts of Cardiff.

Established in 1975, the company acquired Cardiff-based brokers, The Johns' Bowen Partnership and Churchgate Insurance Services in 1998 and 1999.

This made it one of the largest independent insurance brokers in Wales and the South West.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
