Specialist liability insurer, PRI (Professional Risks Insurance Ltd) has commenced trading following a successful floatation.

PRI has started underwriting risks and dealing in legal expenses, medical malpractice and general liability. The company is capitalised at over £140m following a successful stock market floatation which raised £125m.

Trading has been hastened by favourable conditions in the professional liability sector. While its competitors struggle against a backdrop of reduced capacity, PRI aims to take advantage of buoyant market premiums.

Chief Executive Andreas Loucaides said: "I believe that the group is now well positioned to take advantage of the recent trends within the insurance industry.

He added: "PRI has enjoyed a very positive response from the broking community since its floatation, which augurs well for our immediate trading prospects."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
