Capita Insurance Services have launched a surveyor-led property repair solution, which significantly reduces claims costs.
The household and small commercial solution is designed to address claims leakage and improve settlement resolution rates.
In a bid to provide an alternative to contractor-led networks, Capita Repair is surveyor-led. In a recent pilot the approach demonstrated savings of around 20%.
Significantly the solution should increase repudiation rates by around 25%. By making surveyors responsible for damage validation Capita hopes to increase customer satisfaction ratings.
Supply chain director Tony Emms said: "Leakage continues to be a major issue when trying to control claims costs. The Capita Repair Network is designed to control leakage and avoid collusion between contractors and customers.
