IT consultancy Garol has warned companies to watch out for "cyber attacks" as a result of the terrorist attacks in the US on Tuesday.
Garol said the cyber attacks are expected to be carried out on companies with links to the events in New York and will probably be attempts to deface web sites with pro- or anti-US propaganda. Deeper attacks are also expected on high profile companies such as banks and insurers and others who maintain sensitive information about customers online.
Garol recommended that companies review key web pages on a regular basis to ensure defacement has not take place. It said companies should also prepare contingency plans to recover any pages that are affected.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
