Giles to expand in Wales
Giles is set for further expansion in Wales after completing two acquisitions in a week. The consolidator acquired Ton Pentre-based broker Paul Murphy Insurance Services and Newport firm Hancock General Insurance Services. Giles has already completed 10 acquisitions since March this year.
Zurich extends D&O cover
Zurich is extending its directors and officers’ (D&O) insurance to plug a gap in cover against shareholders’ derivative litigation caused by the Companies Act. The act has introduced new court procedures for which, after issue of proceedings, a shareholder must immediately apply to the court to continue with an action.
