’We’ve already proven the use case with a recent personal injury claim resolved in just 24 hours,’ says managing director
Add-on provider Alps has partnered with resolution-as-a-service (RaaS) innovator Nuvalaw to provide a transparent, fast and proportionate route for resolving disputes, Insurance Times can reveal.

According to the Ministry of Justice’s ’Civil Justice Statistics Quarterly’ report from January to March 2026, the average small claim took 37.6 weeks to reach trial, while multitrack cases experienced an average delay of 54.3 weeks.
However, harnessing Nuvalaw’s resolution process, which utilises intelligent workflows and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to streamline resolution and arbitration, Alps has already settled a personal injury case in 24 hours.
The partnership provides brokers and their clients early engagement, seamless interaction between all stakeholders including lawyers, insurers, brokers and clients, faster, proportionate settlements for better client outcomes, enhanced ability to meet regulatory expectations, reduced costs, lower claims leakage and improved loss ratios.
‘Fast and fair’
Speaking on the partnership, Michelle O’Reilly, managing director at Alps, said: “This announcement could not be timelier with litigation costs and timelines failing to deliver good outcomes for insurers, brokers and policyholders alike.

”Arbitration provides a fast and fair route for resolving disputes without the need for unnecessary litigation, especially in cases where the issues are narrow, the evidence is complete and the costs disproportionate to the sums in dispute. It also keeps the best interests of the policyholder front of mind, progressing claims efficiently, transparently and ensuring they receive damages in full without delay – something that has long eroded trust in the market.
”We’ve already proven the use case with a recent personal injury claim resolved in just 24 hours. Together, Alps and Nuvalaw are building a new approach to resolving disputes through intelligent arbitration.”
