Prior to the upcoming industry conference on 14 and 15 May, Insurance Times polled brokers on their top priorities for the event

With the 2025 Biba Conference just around the corner (14 and 15 May 2025), Insurance Times ran a LinkedIn poll this month on what aspect of the two-day event attending brokers were most looking forward to.

Insurance Times quizzed brokers on which part of the event they thought was the most important, with available options including conducting business with insurers and MGAs, attending educational sessions, networking and after parties or talking to the FCA.

The results are now in and can be viewed via the interactive pie chart below. Around 50 brokers responded to the social media poll.

Brokers rated their priorities for Biba 2025

Interestingly, despite the FCA’s attendance at this year’s conference, no broker respondents selected this option as the one they thought was most important for the 2025 conference. This is not to suggest that brokers will not be interested in hearing from the FCA – with many brokers telling Insurance Times that they are – but just that they see other areas of the conference as more important.

The largest proportion of brokers indicated that talking to insurers and MGAs at the exhibition was the most important part of the conference and the part they were most looking forward to, with 47% of respondents choosing this option.

Just over a third (37%) of polled brokers, the second largest proportion, said they were most interested in the networking opportunities the event provides, as well as the post-conference after parties that take over Manchester on the Wednesday night.

Only 16% of broker respondents said that the variety of educational sessions and breakout roundtables on offer were what they were most looking forward to.
