‘Club travel insurance makes it easy to plan trips, with fewer headaches around cover,’ says director

The Camping and Caravanning Club has launched a new travel insurance product in partnership with broker Howden.

The proposition – named club travel insurance – offers multitrip cover for travel both in the UK and abroad.

The firm said that the launch of the protection “further strengthens the range of services and benefits offered by the club to support campers, wherever in the world travel takes them”.

Policies will include trip cancellation protection up to a value of £20,000, loss of baggage up to £7,500 and medical emergency cover up to a value of £15m.

Policyholders can also opt for additional cover for cruises, golf and gadget protection. Options will be available to individuals with pre-existing medical conditions.

Fewer headaches

Andrew Dufty, sales and marketing director at the Camping and Caravanning Club, said: “Club travel insurance makes it easy to plan trips, with fewer headaches around cover.

“It’s just one of the great club insurance products which help our campers enjoy their next holiday, whether that’s in the UK or further afield.”

Tim Jennion, operations director at Howden, added: “Club travel insurance, powered by Howden, is here to help people enjoy more of what they love about travelling, with less of the admin.

“Our advisors take the time to understand, so we can shape multitrip travel insurance to exact needs in one simple policy.”
