Commercial property insurer FM has appointed Tara Long as its new senior vice president and chief information officer.
In her role, Long will oversee FM’s technology strategy to ensure the company has the right architecture, skills and tools to support clients, business operations and long-term growth.
She succeeds Srini Krishnamurthy, who was recently named senior vice president at FM India.
Randy Hodge, chief operating officer at FM, said: “Long brings a wealth of experience in leading digital transformations and driving large-scale operational improvements to enhance the client experience and advance business objectives.
“She will collaborate closely with partners from across FM to ensure our technology initiatives not only serve our clients effectively but also position them – and our business –for long-term success.”
’New chapter’
Joining FM from MassMutual, Long most recently served as chief technology officer and head of enterprise infrastructure services, in which she ensured global availability, integrity, security and scalability for all IT systems and infrastructure.

During her 23-year-long career at MassMutual, Long also served as assistant vice president, chief information officer and head of corporate and institutional solutions.
Prior to this, Long held IT auditor roles at Gerber Scientific Inc and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
She said in a LinkedIn post on 20 August 2025: “I’m thrilled to share that I’ve begun a new chapter as chief information officer at FM.
“This opportunity is incredible and I am both honored and excited to step into this new role and join such an amazing company.”
