‘I’m excited to join at such a pivotal time and look forward to helping drive its growth into new areas of speciality,’ says appointee

Consilium, the speciality (re)insurance broking business of Aventum Group, has appointed Peter Coleman to its senior leadership team.

Coleman will join Consilium from reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter Facultative, where he has spent six years holding various senior leadership positions, most recently as managing director and global head of placement.

Coleman has also held a number of senior positions across the London market, including at speciality (re)insurer Agora Syndicate and property and casualty insurance provider Ironshore.

He will take on his new role at the completion of his notice period at his current firm.

’Deep expertise’

The firm said that as an experienced and well-regarded market professional, Coleman will bring “deep expertise in speciality insurance” to the role and play a “pivotal role in supporting Consilium’s expansion into new and emerging lines of business”.

David Bearman, chief executive at Aventum Group, said: “Coleman’s appointment reflects our strategy to continue investing in top-tier talent as we grow. His experience and entrepreneurial approach make him a perfect fit for Consilium as we expand our reach and deliver market-leading solutions to our global clients.”

The new appointee added: “Consilium is a business with bold ambitions, a progressive mindset and a clear commitment to excellence. I’m excited to join at such a pivotal time and look forward to helping drive its growth into new areas of speciality.”
