‘Her extensive experience and innovative approach to litigation will be invaluable as we continue to provide our clients with the highest level of service,’ says head
Gallagher has appointed specialist investigations and disputes lawyer Alexandra Carr as a director within its disputes resolution insurance team.

Carr joins from law firm Howard Kennedy, where she most recently worked as a senior associate, and brings 15 years’ experience of complex litigation and disputes resolution across an array of industries.
Gallagher said her “deep understanding of legal frameworks and innovative problem-solving approach” will strengthen its ability to provide tailored support to its clients.
It also suggested that her expertise in areas including commercial disputes, investigation and inquiries, insurance litigation and risk mitigation strategies made her a “perfect fit” for its legal team.
Gallagher’s dispute resolution team sits within its private equity and M&A practice, through which Gallagher offers specialist advisory and risk transfer products.
Informed approach
Steve Jones, chief executive for private equity, M&A, litigation and transactional solutions at Gallagher, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Carr into our top-ranked dispute resolution team.

“Her extensive experience and innovative approach to litigation will be invaluable as we continue to provide our clients with the highest level of service and support, helping them mitigate financial risk and bring greater certainty in an uncertain legal environment.”
The new appointee added: “I am delighted to have joined Gallagher as a director in the dispute resolution team. After many years in private practice, dealing with complex disputes, I became increasingly interested in how risk is assessed and structured at the outset of a case.
“Moving to Gallagher allows me to bring a disputes perspective to transactional insurance, focusing on identifying potential pressure points early on and helping clients approach risk in a more informed and structured way.
“I’m excited to work with clients to anticipate risk, unlock value and execute transactions with confidence.”
