‘We’re committed to building teams outside London that can tap into the huge opportunities that exist across the regions,’ says chief distribution officer
Howden-owned MGA Dual UK has made two regional distribution hires as part of its expansion strategy.
The new appointees are Stephen Davis, who has been named regional manager for the Midlands and south west, and Jayne Sprigg, who takes on the role of business development manager in the Midlands.
Davis has over 25 years of experience in insurance and was most recently head of regional market for the Midlands and Wales at Zurich. He also spent 15 years of his career at RSA.
In his new role, Davis will use his experience of working with SME and mid-market regional businesses to deliver the MGA’s regional expansion strategy.
Meanwhile, Sprigg has almost 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry, spanning both underwriting and business development.
She began her career at Aviva before moving to Allianz, where she has been for the past 22 years.
Committed to expansion
Rob Corner, chief distribution officer at Dual UK, said: “I am delighted to welcome Davis and Sprigg to Dual. We’re committed to building teams outside London that can tap into the huge opportunities that exist across the regions.

“It is important to us that we take our established business lines to brokers around the country and gain a deeper understand of their clients’ needs so that we can respond to emerging challenges and develop new propositions.”
Corner explained that the focus in the early part of 2025 was building out the MGA’s north west presence and that he was “very pleased with the response from brokers.”
He added: “Appointing Davis and Sprigg represents the first steps in our expansion plans into the Midlands and south west.”
