’We are confident this is the right home for our business, our people and our customers,’ says chief executive

Insurance intermediary platform ANV Group has agreed to acquire motor warranty MGA Car Care Plan from AmTrust Financial Services.

The transaction, which is expected to close around the end of September 2026, includes Dent Wizard Ventures in the UK and all overseas subsidiaries of Car Care Plan in the US, Europe, Turkey and China.

The MGA will continue to operate under its existing brand, with the same points of contact for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), dealers and customers.

Meanwhile, its chief executive Ben Russell and current leadership team will remain in place.

Adam Karkowsky, chairman and chief executive at ANV, said: “Car Care Plan is a best-in-class franchise with deep and long-standing OEM and dealer relationships and differentiated underwriting, claims and administration capabilities that are difficult to replicate.

“This acquisition is fully aligned with ANV’s strategy of partnering with MGAs in attractive markets and it establishes a scaled platform in the warranty vertical. We’re excited to work with Russell and the team to support the company’s next phase of growth.”

‘New chapter’

Established in 1976, Car Care Plan provides vehicle warranties, asset protection products and after-sales support and administration to more than 30 OEMs and 2,500 dealers and customers across approximately 100 countries.

AmTrust will remain Car Care Plan’s long-term underwriting partner and will continue to underwrite the existing books of business under a long-term capacity agreement.

Russell said: “This marks an exciting new chapter for Car Care Plan.

“ANV’s long-term investment approach, capital strength and global platform are ideally suited to accelerate our growth while preserving the brand, service and relationships our clients know today. We are confident this is the right home for our business, our people and our customers.”
