1. What was your insurance industry highlight of 2025?
This has to be the publication of the FCA’s consultation paper CP25/12 on simplifying the insurance rules. It represented the outcome of lots of conversations that Biba and our members have had with the FCA on the subject.
2. What is your Christmas message for your insurance colleagues?
The best present the industry gives every day is meeting the needs of clients. While a lot of attention goes on where things go wrong, let us not forget how often we get things right.
3. What do you hope to find under the industry’s Christmas tree for 2026?
As one might expect from someone steeped in regulation, I am hoping to find CP25/12 is just the start of the journey towards removing frictional costs from our industry, freeing time to focus on clients and playing a role in economic growth.
