Seven firms are competing to win the Independent Broker of the Year category at this year’s Insurance Times Awards

Ahead of 2023’s Insurance Times Awards, scheduled to be held at the resplendent Grosvenor House hotel on 6 December 2023, Insurance Times can reveal that seven firms have been shortlisted for the Independent Broker of the Year category.

This category seeks to recognise standard setting, independent regional brokers and celebrate outstanding achievement. Insurance Times classifies an independent broker as one where the broker owns the majority stake – minimum 51% – and has full control of the placement strategy. This category is sponsored by AVA.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
