1. Why did you put yourselves forward for the Specialist Insurer of the Year category?
We put ourselves forward for Specialist Insurer of the Year because technology insurance is not just a product line for us, it’s our heritage and our passion.
For over 30 years, Hiscox UK has been a constant, trusted partner to technology businesses, supporting them through every major shift in the sector.
Our commitment to innovation, from launching purpose-written artifical intelligence (AI) liability wording to providing in-house technology claims expertise, means we don’t just keep pace with the industry, we help shape it.
We believe our specialist approach, deep sector knowledge and unwavering support for clients set a benchmark in the market that deserves recognition.
2. What do you think makes your entry stand out and why should you win the award?
We think our entry stands out because of our proven track record and our ability to evolve with our clients’ needs.
While others have come and gone, we’ve remained a stable, reliable presence in technology insurance. We offer 30 years of sector expertise, insuring over 45,000 technology clients and generating £80m in annual premium, industry-first policy innovations, such as clear, affirmative AI risk wording and coverage for emerging cyber threats, a unique claims service led by in-house tech lawyers, ensuring swift, fair settlements and direct support for clients and outstanding customer advocacy, with a net promoter score of 78 in 2024 – well above the industry average.

3. What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?
