‘He brings an investor’s eye and operator’s toolkit to MNK’s global strategy and M&A,’ says chairman
MNK Group has appointed Matthew De Jesus as its chief strategy and development officer, effective immediately.

The group – comprised of Lloyd’s broker MNK International and a network of specialty MGAs and reinsurance firms – said De Jesus will be responsible for its group-level strategy and M&A activity.
De Jesus joins from geospatial technology provider Voxelmaps, where he has spent the last eight years of his career, latterly as the firm’s chief commercial officer.
MNK Group said that in his new role, De Jesus will “lead the deliberate growth of the business, identifying and executing acquisitions, partnerships and new market entries” and work with other group functions to “implement innovative technology into operations to support all lines of business”.
The firm also said the new appointee would be tasked with driving global M&A activity, as it “builds on its 2025 growth journey into new markets and new sectors”.
Growing global presence
Manoj Kumar, chairman at MNK Group, said: “De Jesus brings a combination of investment insight, hands‑on operating experience and deep sector knowledge to the role. His track record of helping high‑growth businesses scale and then expand aligns perfectly with MNK Group’s goals.

“De Jesus brings an investor’s eye and operator’s toolkit to MNK’s global strategy and M&A, which will be instrumental as we continue to grow our presence globally across the full insurance value chain.”
The new appointee added: “I am delighted to have joined MNK Group at such an energetic and aspirational time for the business. It’s unique position in operating across the full insurance value chain presents a prime opportunity to build a fully integrated strategic platform that supports and elevates the group’s already premium service provision to clients across the globe.
“We are ready to expand further and I am excited to support this growth journey through our strategy, M&A and investment agenda.”
