’We are keen to use this latest product launch to increase our Open GI broker distribution and ultimately continue to achieve our long-term growth aspirations,’ says group head of distribution.

Open GI has launched Arkel’s new landlord product on its SME platform to strengthen its commercial proposition for brokers.

Called Premier Let, Arkel’s non-standard household product and let property scheme has now joined Open GI’s panel.

The new product includes landlords’ building insurance, loss of income, contents and property owners’ liability up to £2m and gives brokers access to A rated capacity for non-standard risks such as  construction, occupancy, flood and subsidence risks.

Speaking about the launch, Ant Sherlock, group head of distribution at Atec, said: “Arkel and Open GI have a great working relationship and this latest opportunity confirms our appetite to continue to look for new ways to offer our products to brokers and end customers.

“We are keen to use this latest product launch to increase our Open GI broker distribution and ultimately continue to achieve our long-term growth aspirations.”

‘Another strong option’

Nick Giddings, director of distribution and partners at Open GI, added: “We are delighted to make Arkel’s new landlord product available to brokers on our SME platform.

“Arkel’s focus on non-standard risks gives brokers another strong option for hard-to-place risks and is an excellent addition to our panel. Premier Let has been designed to protect the assets and income of landlords through a suit of tailored cover including building sum insured up to £1m, contents sum insured up to £50,000 and malicious damage and theft by tenant up to £5,000.

“Arkel and Open GI have worked closely together for many years and we look forward to exploring further product launches in the future.”
