‘Prestige’s specialist risk expertise, combined with our digital-first approach, means we can now help non-standard customers get quality cover fast,’ says chief executive
Prestige Underwriting has announced a deal with insurtech Urban Jungle that will see the MGA offer non-standard home insurance through its new partner’s digital platform.

The MGA’s open-market, non-standard home product, Coverall, will now be available under the Select by Urban Jungle brand, available via the firm’s digital channels and website.
Up until now, Urban Jungle – founded in 2016 and currently serving some 300,000 UK customers – has only offered standard home risk cover, but will now be able to offer consumers cover for risks including non-standard construction, prior subsidence and unoccupied properties.
As a result of the partnership, Urban Jungle said it expected its quotability to rise significantly, while Prestige said it expected the new route to market to generate significant new quote volume.
According to Tim Baxter, business development and relationship director at Prestige, the collaboration “brings together Urban Jungle’s digital expertise and reach with our specialist underwriting knowledge, enabling us to deliver comprehensive cover to many customers who might otherwise struggle to find it”.
“We see this partnership as a fantastic opportunity to broaden our market footprint and reinforce our commitment to innovative solutions in the non-standard home insurance sector,” he added.
Accessible insurance
Jimmy Williams, co-founder and chief executive at Urban Jungle, said: “This partnership with Prestige Underwriting is a big step in Urban Jungle’s mission to make insurance fair and more accessible.

“Prestige’s specialist risk expertise, combined with our digital-first approach, means we can now help non-standard customers get quality cover fast and completely online – supporting many who may have struggled to get cover elsewhere.
“Having successfully launched travel insurance earlier this year, this partnership with Prestige continues Urban Jungle’s expansion into new – often underserved – audiences.”
