New MGU designed to streamline distribution and strengthen incubation ecosystem
Pro MGA Global Solutions has launched Orb Specialty, an independent managing general underwriter (MGU) created to connect insurance capacity with high potential managing general agents (MGAs) incubated within its platform.
Based in the UK, Orb Specialty will operate as an appointed representative of Pro MGA Solutions.
The new MGU aims to provide carriers with a single streamlined route into MGA distribution, while offering MGAs multiyear stability and guided capacity partnerships.
Danny Maleary, chief executive at Pro MGA Global Solutions, said the launch would help bridge the gap between capital providers and entrepreneurial underwriters.

Supporting underwriters
The platform is positioned for scalable, multijurisdictional growth, offering what Pro described as a capital light, governance led solution designed to boost efficiency and underwriting confidence across the delegated authority market.
Orb Specialty is built on three principles. These include “strategic connections” using data and analytics to match MGAs with carriers, “operational excellence” as a tech enabled MGU providing end-to-end support and shared services and “sustainable partnerships” fostering multiyear relationships to underpin stable growth.
Steve Lewis, chief executive at Pro Global, said the initiative reflected Pro’s broader commitment to supporting specialist underwriters.
