Scotland-based broker adds to commercial team as it expands northern presence

Scottish broker Caledonia Dallas, part of the TL Dallas Group, has strengthened its Elgin operation with the appointment of Rhona Scott.

Scott, who takes up the role of commercial broker, joins the business after almost 15 years with the NFU Mutual agency in Elgin, where she most recently served as office manager.

During her time with the insurer, she developed experience across administration, compliance, customer service and operational management, while taking responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the office.

Before moving into insurance, Scott worked in financial services, beginning her career with the Bank of Scotland in Inverness as a mortgage adviser before joining Lloyds TSB as a financial adviser.

Caledonia Dallas said Scott’s experience will support the continued growth of its Elgin operation and strengthen its service offering across the local market.

Scott said: “Over the years I’ve have built up lots of experience and strong relationships in the industry and wider business community.

“I’m delighted to be joining Caledonia Dallas at an exciting time for the business.

”It has a strong local presence and a clear commitment to providing a personal service to its clients and I’m looking forward to contributing to the continued growth of the Elgin office and getting to know colleagues and clients.”

Investment

The appointment comes as Caledonia Dallas continues to invest in its presence across the north of Scotland.

The broker recently strengthened its Inverness commercial team with the appointment of James Dawson, who specialises in agricultural, rural estate, fleet and high net worth insurance.
