Insurance Times looks at SME broking for the briefing of the January/February 2020 issue

With 96% of businesses in the UK employing fewer than 10 people, there are growing opportunities to cater for SME risks, and schemes are a good way for brokers to tap into this market.

But with falling numbers of SMEs buying insurance, and those that do preferring to buy online without broker advice, they run the risk of being inadequately covered, particuarly if they serve a niche market.

January/February 2020 Insurance Times is out now with a special focus on SME broking in The Briefing

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
