‘He has always been a champion for our clients and he has demonstrated exceptional leadership,’ says chief executive

Data and analytics provider Verisk has announced that its president of specialty business solutions, Tim Rayner, will take on the expanded role of chief executive of general insurance for the UK and Ireland and speciality business solutions.

Verisk said that Rayner’s new role will see him lead the firm’s underwriting and claims business in the UK and Ireland, as well as its global life, health and travel business.

Rayner will also continue to oversee the speciality business solutions division, as per his previous role.

After joining the firm as business development director in 2018, Rayner – who has over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry – has held a succession of increasingly senior leadership positions.

The firm said his latest role “is designed to strengthen Verisk’s relationships with clients and partners by anticipating their needs and accelerating innovation to meet them”.

Exceptional leadership

Lee Shavel, president and chief executive at Verisk, said: “Rayner has always been a champion for our clients and he has demonstrated exceptional leadership by driving collaboration and innovation and invention across our business.

“His ability to listen intently to clients and partners and inspire teams to drive exceptional results will be invaluable as he takes on these expanded responsibilities.”

The new appointee added: “I’m honoured and excited to take on this new role. We have incredibly dedicated teams and our innovative solutions uniquely position us to deliver even greater value to our clients by helping them navigate a changing market.”
