Willis has appointed Tony Simm as the head of facultative business for Europe and Great Britain (GB), with responsibility for clients across multiple territories and lines of business.

In his new position, Simm will be responsible for setting the growth strategy for the Europe and GB facultative teams, attracting and developing broking talent and strengthening relationships with cedants and reinsurers.
Simm makes the move from his role as head of facultative for GB within the broker’s direct and facultative business.
He will report to global head of direct and facultative Garret Gaughan.
Commenting on the new appointment, Gaughan said: “Simm has been an exceptional asset to our facultative business and the expansion of his role reflects both his leadership and our strategic priorities.
”His experience, market insight and client focus will further enhance our ability to support cedants and drive growth across Europe and GB.”

Simm has served at Willis Tower Watson for the past four years.

However, he initially started at the firm as a broker in 2006, remaining for over five years before returning in 2022 as its head of London market retro business.
Prior to this, Simm held positions as an insurance broker at Gallagher Re for nearly seven years from 2015 and Guy Carpenter from 2012.
Simm said: “This alignment enables us to collaborate more effectively across territories, respond faster to market dynamics and leverage the full breadth of our talent.
