’Strengthening our P&C leadership reflects the scale of demand for integrated, technology-enabled insurance solutions across EMEA,’ says global leader of ICT

WTW has established a dedicated Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) property and casualty (P&C) business, to be led by new appointee Tim Rourke.

As a result, the global firm has restructured the EMEA regional operations of its insurance consulting and technology (ICT) business.

The dedicated EMEA P&C business has been established in response to technological disruption and client demand and is aimed at ”enabling deeper expertise” and  “more consistent delivery”.

In his new role, Rourke will drive growth, deepen collaboration between EMEA offices and connect WTW’s insurance innovation and AI capabilities to the evolving needs of P&C clients across the region.

Frank Schepers, global leader of ICT at WTW, noted that Rourke brings “exceptional client insight, deep industry expertise and proven leadership” to the firm.

Schepers continued that Rourke’s appointment will help drive the firm’s “next phase of growth” as it focuses on the unique needs of its clients and ”accelerate AI adoption across the insurance value chain”.

Experience

Having spent over eight years at WTW, Rourke most recently served as UK head of P&C pricing, product, claims and underwriting in the ICT business.

He first started at the company as head of intermediated insurance and distribution from 2017.

Prior to this, Rourke held positions at LV= including head of personal lines underwriting from 2015 and head of pricing broker motor since 2014.

Commenting on the appointment, Schepers added: “Strengthening our P&C leadership reflects the scale of demand for integrated, technology-enabled insurance solutions across EMEA.”
