NIG has announced plans to keep its Hill House Hammond business within the broker market

NIG, one of the UK's leading insurance companies, has revealed its plans to keep its Hill House Hammond (HHH) business within the broker market, following announcement of the closure.

NIG said that In looking at all the options available, it had decided to transfer its business currently handled by the HHH call centre to Swinton Colonnade.

According to NIG, it's rationale behind selecting this broker, is that it is best suited to deliver a high level of customer service and have the capacity to handle the volume of business linked to the HHH call centre agency.

NIG said it was extremely disappointed that NU had decided to move its personal lines business across to NU Direct and believed that the HHH business was best served in the broker channel.

The remainder of the business currently being serviced in HHH branches would be distributed to local brokers who are supporters of NIG, said the company.

NIG managing directo, Charles Crawford said: “NIG continues to show its commitment to the broker channel and believes this is the best solution for customers who prefer to place their business through brokers.”
