Mike Joseph, new business manager for telesales broker 1st Quote Insurance, has just become world bench press champion with a lift of 418 pounds (190 kg) for his weight class (82.5 kg body weight).
He broke the existing European record and also claimed the overall title of “absolute world champion” by lifting the heaviest weight, taking into account body weight formula.
The world powerlifting competition was held in Albavilla, near Como in Italy.
