A response should be received within 30 minutes. Policies can also be renewed at the site, anytime night or day.
The service is also available on interactive television and web-enabled telephone.
Ian Meyer, chief executive of 1st Quote, said in the past customers often had to resort to paper warfare to lodge a claim with insurers.
“Our aim is to ensure the process of making a claim or renewing a policy is as quick and easy as possible,” he added.
1st Quote provides a range of household, motor, travel and pet insurance products.
