Euclidian Group's personal division has won an extension until 2009 to provide a range of general insurance products to Britain's Camping and Caravanning Club.

The affinity deal is designed to provide the club's 290,000 members with caravan, tent, trailer tent, motor, motor caravan, household, legal expenses, pet and boat insurance until at least October 2009.

Euclidian has sold 36,500 new policies since it took over the contract in February 1999. Premium income generated from the deal exceeded £5m in 2000. Executive chairman James Truscott said: “Affinity groups are demanding clients and expect a high level of service, together with market leading products.

“The Camping and Caravanning Club is an organisation with a particularly strong affinity with its members and for us there is excellent potential for growth over the next few years.”
