Norwich Union has been selected to provide household and creditor insurance for Scarborough Building Society (SBS) customers.

The UK's largest general insurer has previously provided mortgage indemnity guarantee cover for the building society. This new three-year agreement comes into effect from 1 May.

The household and creditor book of business is expected to be worth £8m in gross premium income over three years.

Norwich Union corporate partnerships director Graham Boffey said: "SBS demands very high standards of service, stability and reliability and we are delighted to demonstrate that we can meet its high expectations.

"This win confirms Norwich Union's reputation as a trusted and valued partner in an increasingly uncertain and competitive marketplace."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
