Thomas Winter Insurance Brokers (TWI) has launched a new guide on Directors and Officers Liability Insurance. To accompany the launch, the broker has released the warning that employees with any kind of management responsibilities - and not just their directors and officers - have unlimited personal liability for their actions.

This warning comes, the company says, as legislation becomes ever more onerous and means that a wide range of employees could be held liable.

All employees with any form of management responsibility can be held liable under Heath and Safety, and Employment, law.

In fact, TWI estimates that due to Health and Safety regulations "serious breaches may lead to relatively junior managers being prosecuted, even before compensation claims are made against the company or organisation".

The broker, which specialises in the property industry, has negotiated special liability terms for the sector - making it more affordable so that it does not remain purely the domain of directors and officers.
