Novae pledged to donate £100,000 over four years

Novae has become a patron of The Prince's Trust Insurance Leadership Group (ILG) and pledged to donate £100,000 to the charity over a four year period.

Peter Matson, Novae's chief underwriting officer, said the company is looking forward to developing its existing ties with The Trust.

Matson said: "This is an excellent opportunity for Novae to give practical support to young people in the UK. Our employees will be encouraged to spend time working with the youngsters in areas such as developing interviewing skills or mentoring new business start-ups."

Novae is already on track helping with the fundraising effort. At a recent event aboard The Orient Express, Novae's staff and their guests raised over £5,000 in donations to the charity – which is enough to start up and support one young person into business.

Matson added: "The event was a great way to foster our relationship with clients while encouraging people to dig deep and donate money to a worthy cause."

Steve Wickham, of The Prince's Trust, said he was grateful to companies such as Novae, who work towards helping disadvantaged young people to get ahead.

Wickham said: "The Prince's Trust is delighted that Novae will be supporting our vital work with some of the UK's most disadvantaged people.

"Without the support of companies such as Novae we would be unable to help the young people who need our help the most to turn their life around."

Since its foundation in January 2005, more than £2m has been pledged to The Prince's Trust through the ILG.
