Norwich Union Healthcare has announced its written premium income from private medical insurance (PMI) business is up 18.8%.
The 2001 PMI premium income was £243m - up from £204m in 2000.
Managing director David Roers said: "We are delighted by the continuing strong performance of the business, especially as it is set against the background of a market which has been difficult and fairly static for some time."
The figures were released as part of CGNU's preliminary results.
