Interesting article from Norwich Union chief executive Patrick Snowball (12 August, Insurance Times).

Referring to its operations in India Mr Snowball claims that "service levels are as good as the UK". That they may be, but is that a standard to be judged against?

Perhaps Mr Snowball would like to try to report a claim through the claims line, or ring up to make a change to a policy.

If profits are up at Norwich Union it's about time it starting using these to adequately resource its call centres so we do not have to run up large telephone bills and staff time trying to resolve queries and report claims.
