Old Mutual to axe up to 800 jobs

Old Mutual has become the latest insurer to announce job cuts.

The company said that between 600 and 800 jobs would go as it moved posts overseas.

Chief executive Jim Sutcliffe said the potential cuts represented 13% of the newly acquired Skandia's workforce.
