Options started 2003 as it finished last year - top of the travel insurance providers on price, according to a performance survey.
It is cheapest for both single trip and annual cover. NFU Mutual and Halifax have climbed into the Annual Price Top 10 at the expense of Argos and Norwich Union Direct.
As an all-round proposition, Atlas scores well, coming in the top five of both price metrics.
Performance measurement researchers Direct Excellence teamed up with analyst Defaqto to look at how price and coverage compare for travel insurance.
The findings also show that competitive price doesn't always mean poorer cover.
Out of those companies analysed, Legal and General, Sainsbury's Bank and Halifax are positioned well for both price and product excellence.
