Broking network Orpheus Select is set to develop motor, travel and household products.

Orpheus Select, which was formed in May 2002, has 16 members including Dixons Insurance Brokers, Bond Lovis, Brentwood Insurance and Allen & Allen, with combined premium income of £250m.

Orpheus Select secretary Tony Excell said Fortis was interested in underwriting a travel insurance product and Legal & General was talking to its members about a household scheme.

He said both products should be launched by the autumn, with a motor product likely to be added by the end of 2003.

He added that NIG and Groupama had also expressed interest in the network.

Excell said the network could add another six members by the end of the year.
