O'Neill & Bramwell was a 'natural choice', says Oval's Herdman

Oval has made its second acquisition this year, buying media insurance broking specialist O'Neill & Bramwell.

The broker provides services to the advertising, production and event industries. It is Oval’s second acquisition this year, following the buy-out of £9m gross written premium broker JL Fisher in March.

O'Neil & Bramwell has been in business for more than 10 years, focusing on mid-corporate and corporate clients.

All staff will retain their jobs and directors Susana Bramwell and Tony O'Neill will head the team, reporting into London & South managing director Peter Young.

Bramwell, who will become Oval’s director of media insurance, said: “We are pleased with the decision to join Oval.

“We see the two companies as having very well-aligned values. That will give us the opportunity to continue the same level of service to our clients, but also gives us the power of being part of a larger company."

Oval managing director Jeff Herdman said: “O'Neill and Bramwell is a highly respected brokerage, having developed strong, longstanding relationships with its clients.

“This made the company a natural choice to bring in and make part of the group.”
