Parabis, part of the Parabis Group, will take over the FirstAssist Uninsured Loss Recovery (ULR) operation based in Halifax as of 1st May 2006.
This arrangement follows the decision by Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) to review its ULR work which has been handled by FirstAssist since April 2003.
R&SA has agreed to continue to outsource the work for a further two years under a service agreement with Parabis.
Forty FirstAssist employees will be affected by the change and they are currently in consultation prior to transferring their employment to Parabis.
No job losses are expected.
