Former Aon International chairman, Ron Forest, is set to join broker Perkins Slade as its new chairman.
Forest joins the Birmingham-based company alongside new shareholder, Noble Grossart.
Perkins Slade chief executive David Slade said: "I have known Ron for many years and his philosophy on customer service and ours are perfectly matched.
"His international reputation, knowledge and ability bring extra dimensions to the business, and enable us to make a quantum leap into the next chapter for Perkins Slade."
Noble Grossart director Guy Stenhouse said: "For some time we have been of the view that consolidation in UK broking has not produced the expected benefits to many clients.
"Perkins Slade provides the ideal platform to enable talented professionals to offer the highest standards of personal service within a company with a well deserved reputation for integrity and professionalism."
Forest said: "I share Slade's enthusiasm for the future and was very proud to be invited to be both the chairman and a shareholder in Perkins Slade. I have long admired the company and I hope my experience will be of benefit to Slade and his team going forward."
