I refer to the letter from Stuart Lanham at NIG (23 September, Insurance Times).
It is sad to note that an individual in his position (head of operations) should write to you without knowing the full facts.
He is quite incorrect in stating that Finsure has also changed its dialing code to 0845.
I can show him proof of a 'renewal' advice from it dated 10 September 2004 still showing the 0870 numbers and to my knowledge these are the only contact numbers available for Finsure.
However, it is not really surprising that Finsure still uses 0870 numbers. It has always had the longest call queues and hence it is a tremendous revenue stream for it, albeit at the expense of its supporting brokers.
