An aircraft has crashed into the side of an apartment building on the New York island of Manhattan.
Reports said the building is on fire and people are believed to be trapped.
The aircraft, believed to be a small plane, crashed into the building on the Upper East Side of New York.
Authorities have been quick to announce that the crash is unlikely to be a result of terrorism.
Sources said the building is believed to be made up of over 180 apartments, many of which sell for over $1m.
