The managing director of Standard Life Healthcare, Mike Hall, will call on medical insurers to stimulate fresh demand rather than compete for each others' customers when he speaks at next week's Laing and Buisson conference.
Hall will tell delegates at the Annual Private Healthcare Insurance Conference that by chasing the existing subscriber base, health insurance providers can compete only by reducing prices which can cause them to become unprofitable.
The conference will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2001 in London.
